Sleep Habits: Co-founder of BY SARAH

We catch up with Sarah, Co-Founder of BY SARAH LONDON to find out about her sleep skincare routine and what sleep means to her.

How important is sleep to your personal daily life?

So important! It’s a measure of my day-to-day productivity, so the better the quality of my sleep, the more likely I am to achieve my goals :)

What does a typical sleep routine look like to you?

Applying our organic, plant-based skincare forms a part of my daily evening ritual before bed. Taking a few extra minutes to massage the Organic Facial Oil into my skin helps to ground me and prepare me for a good night's sleep.

What is your bedroom like?

I find that my best sleep is enjoyed when my bedroom is the perfect temperature (in the winter months, I add an extra blanket to the bed) and there is no artificial light to disrupt my sleep (certainly no notifications from my iPhone!)

What is your sleep position?

Great question! I think I’m a bit of a freestyler; occasionally on my tummy or curled up on my side.

Do you follow any rituals to help you sleep better?

Positive journaling just before bed has become an everyday ritual since launching BY SARAH. It allows me to quiet my mind by allowing my thoughts and ideas to flood the page and prepare my goals for the day ahead.

What are your top “sleep well” tips?

Movement, whether first thing in the morning at a yoga class or at the gym after work in the evening, is so good for the body and always contributes to a restful night’s sleep! A salt bath (using our BY SARAH Bath Salts) at least once a week also comforts the skin, soothes tired muscles and allows my body to relax.

Have you read any good bedtime books lately?

I've just enjoyed The Modern Guide to Crystal Healing; a great read if you're new to crystals and keen to explore their spiritual benefits.
